I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Dan Hunt on his Heads or Tails Podcast to talk about my book, The Singular Life: Breaking the Work-Home Divide to Lead with Integrity. The conversation was one of the most engaging I’ve had since publishing the book, and I’m excited to share it with you.

Dan and I covered a lot of ground, from why I wrote the book, to the challenges so many of us face in living divided lives, to the practical steps we can take to move toward authenticity. We talked about the masks we wear in different spaces, the pressure to balance competing identities, and why balance itself is a myth.

One of the things I appreciated most was Dan’s willingness to go deeper. Instead of focusing just on surface level ideas, he pushed into the personal stories and leadership lessons that shaped The Singular Life. We discussed how roles like business owner, Rotary president, Chamber chair, and school board leader influenced my perspective on integrity and wholeness.

For me, the highlight was being able to share that living singularly isn’t about perfection, it’s about consistency. It’s about showing up the same way at work, at home, and in the community, and letting that wholeness inspire others.

If you’ve ever felt pulled in too many directions, or wondered how to align who you are in private with who you are in public, this episode is for you.
